India is the land of many jewel sons and with great heritage and culture. Many great sons of India have shown the world the different avenues of social development on which modern society bank upon. Many Indian great sons were the pioneer of their field of work, on which the world has started working far later than the great son of India, started working, and put the stepping stone.

The world has acknowledged them and considers them the father of the subject on which they worked and put their first thought. Few of their name and their works are been taught our academics. Let's know these great people and their work altogether.

1. The Father of Astronomy is Aryabhatta. His work is known as Aryabhattiyam.

2. The Father of Astrology is Varahamihira. His work is known as Panchasiddhantika and Bruhat Hora Shastra.

3. The Father of Surgery is Charaka and Sushruta. His work is known as Samhitas.

4. The Father of Anatomy is Patanjali. His work is known as Yogasutra.

5. The Father of Yoga is Patanjali. His work is known as Yogasutra.

6. The Father of Economics is Chanakya. His work is known as Arthashshtra.

7. The Father of Atomic Theory is Rishi Kanada. His work is known as Kanada sutras.

The above list is just the tip of an iceberg. Let us take pride in sharing and educating our new generations and the world that, what our ancestors did. Yet our ancestors bowed down to the world with their attitude of greatness and humbleness.
